Description

Inspired by the illustrative story of The Sailor’s Farewell from designer Kit Kemp, this large cream jug crafted from fine bone china displays many motifs from this fanciful voyage. Deep blue and rust red are featured on the sails of the ship, as it heads towards a distant tropical paradise with a captivating house beneath a palm tree and an octopus in the waves. For authenticity, the jug is embellished with 22 carat gold trim and printed with a Wedgwood blue stamp. The pale blue finish reflects the original fabric design used by Kemp and the piece is presented in a blue Wedgwood gift box. This stylish addition to the tea ware collection can be found in the two boutique hotels co-owned by Kemp, in New York and London.
