Description

Drawing inspiration from Kit Kemp’s whimsical tale of The Sailor’s Farewell, Wedgwood crafted this 22.5cm side plate in fine bone china. Featuring a yellow-dressed central character standing on a rock, waving goodbye with a red scarf billowing in the wind, the pale blue background skilfully is adorned with a deeper blue and a hand-applied 22 carat gold trim. Each plate is backstamped for authenticity and is presented in a Wedgwood signature blue gift box. As a renowned designer, Kemp is delighted to see her lyrical folk art designs realized in fine tableware - they are used in two of her ten boutique hotels in NYC and London.
