Description

This 17cm plate, crafted from fine bone china, features the central character from Kit Kemp's whimsical "Sailor's Farewell" story. The character stands on a rock in a yellow dress, waving goodbye to her sailor with a red scarf flying in the wind. Kemp's work was originally inspired by a drawing, and Wedgwood's artisans completed it with a linen-like finish, accentuated by deeper blue and a hand-applied 22 carat gold trim. The piece is authenticated with a backstamp, and arrives in Wedgwood's signature blue gift box. This range marks the second collaboration between Wedgwood and Kemp, who owns two of the ten boutique hotels in New York and London that use the collection.
