Its unique pale blue linen-look finish depicts the rust red sails of the sailor's ship sailing towards a distant desert island, while the loved-one in a yellow dress standing on a rock waves him goodbye with a red scarf. Axquisitely detailed with a deeper blue and hand-applied 22 carat gold, it is backstamped for authenticity and presented in a signature Wedgwood blue box. Kit Kemp marvels at seeing her love of folk art expressed in fine tableware, which is also found in two of her co-owned boutique hotels in New York and London.
