Vera Wang Blanc Sur Blanc
Launched in 2005, Vera Wang’s Blanc sur Blanc was one of the first designs to be introduced into the Vera Wang @ Wedgwood Collections. As a wedding dress designer Vera Wang admits that she is “Forever Experimenting with white”. With white being the traditional choice of many brides, Vera has developed a number of trade mark skills to add depth, texture and interest to what would otherwise be a plain white gown. When developing Blanc sur Blanc for Wedgwood she drew on her years of experience to apply the same techniques to the collection. Taking Wedgwood’s top quality fine bone china in brilliant white as the canvas she added texture and detail to the set with a subtle decoration in shades of white. Small white squares form a subtle border to the plates and this is then duplicated across the range. Reminiscent of the delicate white beading work on her famous gowns, this extremely subtle decoration gives Blanc sur Blanc the texture and depth Vera was looking for. All wedding gowns should sparkle and a simple platinum line applied to the rims of the collection gives Blanc sur Blanc the wow factor. Available as a complete dinner service Blanc sur Blanc is a firm favourite on Wedding Gift Lists. A truly beautiful collection which will bring back many happy memories in the years to come for the bride and groom.
