Together with Portmeirion,
Sophie Conran of the Conran design and
culinary dynasty has created a range of stylish and practical
cookware, tableware and kitchenware. Sophie ConranThe collection reflects
Sophie's vivacious personality and appreciation of innovative
craftsmanship. The pieces in the collection have been designed
with a nod to Japanese serenity and a wink at English eccentricity.
A cookery and lifestyle
writer with her own food company, Sophie, a busy mother
of two, has designed the collection to look as beautiful
in the kitchen as it does on the dining table.
New Sophie ConranNew introductions for the last quarter of 2006 saw
Sophie Conran extending her collection to include both practical and stylish
accessories. A Textile collection in a traditional design was launched for a while but was later retired in 2008 As the ceramics had proved so popular it was decised to extend the colour range available. A sophisticated sage green was introduced on to main items for 2008 and is already proving very popular.
Glass and Wood also feature for this final product launch this year. Crafting glass to match the unique shapes of the pottery has proved to be a difficult but rewarding project. The glass ripples and curves creating both practical and eyecatching centre pieces.
Staying with natural products Sophie has also incorporated some serious
chopping boards and accessories in wood. The Collection is almost complete
but in response to customer requests a couple of missing products from the
ceramic range have now been launched. A Teapot, Cream Jug and Covered Sugar
Bowl in white are now available and the collection is now complete for the
time being.
